City of Somerville Mayoral General Election 2021

 

Katjana Ballantyne defeated Will Mbah in the general by a landslide of 18%. Will Mbah had bested Ballantyne in the preliminary in a four person race. The majority of the other two candidates votes went to Ballantyne as she won 19 out of 21 precincts. Ballantyne become the first woman elected as the city's mayor and a new mayor in almost 20 yrs.
