CITY OF SOMERVILLE MAYORAL PRELIMINARY 2021

 

The City of Somerville will have a new Mayor in almost two decades after the longtime mayor announced retirement. There were four candidates running to replace the mayor in the preliminary primary. Three candidates were close separated by hundreds of votes. Council member Mbah and Ballantyne finished top two and advanced to the general election in November. Mbah performed well in the western part of the city while Ballantyne did well up north and Cassesso dominated in the southern part. Below is the map precincts with the four candidates.
